The Spring 2020 University of Utah and School for Cultural and Social Transformation Convocation is postponed.
The University of Utah will be postponing all commencement ceremonies scheduled for the end of the Spring 2020 semester. This includes all graduation events, college convocations, and campus-wide commencement. This has been a unique and trying semester for all of us, and this decision was made with the health and well-being of all members of our campus community and their loved ones in mind.
We will announce details about the times and locations as those become available. Visit this page to see the University announcements regarding commencement and convocations.

General Information for Convocation
Cap and Gown Orders
Regalia is required for both Convocation and Commencement. These may be ordered at the University Bookstore online or at the University Bookstore’s Grad Fair. See the University Campus Bookstore website and the Registrar Graduation Checklist for additional information. The School will have a few gowns available for students to borrow on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Jen Wozab, email@example.com, if you will need to borrow a gown in order to participate in convocation.
Commencement and Convocation Printed Programs
Students must apply for graduation by January 21, in order to have their name printed in the official printed programs. Apply for graduation here. Preferred first names can be printed in the Commencement and Convocation programs as well as on diplomas by emailing the Graduation Office at firstname.lastname@example.org with a request that includes the student’s preferred first name, legal last name, UNID, major(s), minor(s), and certificate(s). CC the Transform advisor, Jen Wozab at email@example.com, who will ensure that the Transform Convocation program is correct.
Diplomas will still be mailed out to graduates (end of Spring semester for Spring 2020 graduates; end of Summer for Summer 2020 graduates). To make sure you receive your diploma, please ensure your most current mailing address is up-to-date in CIS.
