The Pacific Islands Studies (PI Studies) Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Certificate provides students with training in the field of Pacific Islands Studies that can be intergraded with their major. The Certificate also provides students with opportunities to think globally, as the required courses offer broad historical and contemporary knowledge about the Indigenous Pacific and the global Pacific Islander diaspora.

ETHNC 2590: Pacific Islander American Experiences

Pacific Islander American Experiences introduces the cultural framework of the diverse peoples of the Pacific and their contemporary experiences in the United States. This course investigates the adaptation of basic factors in the historical, geographical, sociocultural, and political contexts of their American experiences.
